I offer that while properly dismissing the multiple goal proposal, you I hope you didn&#039;t miss the point of the manager&#039;s position and could have stated his position within the constraints of TOC.  As evidenced by recent financial reprocussions by companies seeing the fruits of their operations, e.g. AIG, social consequences are an integral part of the business environment that must be properly considered and factored into the constraints model.  Likewise, a similar case can be made for environmental impact, e.g. GE and irrigation farmers in the Southwest.  I believe the question is how to properly integrate them in the necessary conditions to ensure sustainable progress toward the business goal.

All aspects of the business environment must be incorporated, appropriately balanced, which includes the social environmental and the natural environmental influences on the business.
